What we offer
Every class at Tideline uses the Pilates reformer. Maximum 10 clients per class — one reformer each.
Anyone new to the reformer must complete one Groundwork class before any other format. After that, Unwind is open to you. We recommend completing three Groundwork classes before joining Flow or Express — it's not required, but you'll get more out of it. Strength & Length is recommended after eight Flow classes.
Exception: clients who have completed reformer training at another certified studio may contact us to discuss waiving the prerequisite.
Who it's for: Anyone new to reformer Pilates, returning after a long break, or wanting to build a solid technical base. No experience necessary.
What happens: Your instructor walks through reformer setup, spring adjustments, and the core principles of Pilates — breath, neutral spine, scapular stability, pelvic placement — then moves through a foundational full-body sequence. Pace is unhurried. Detailed cues and hands-on guidance throughout.
Intensity: Low to moderate. The goal is understanding movement, not fatigue.
Who it's for: Clients who have completed at least one Groundwork class (three recommended) and are comfortable with basic reformer cues and footwork.
What happens: A continuous, rhythmic full-body class moving through footwork, leg and arm series, core, and stretching. Less instruction time than Groundwork; assumes familiarity with the equipment.
Intensity: Moderate. Expect to feel warm and worked.
Modifications: Offered throughout — watch for your instructor's cues or ask between exercises.
Who it's for: Clients comfortable on the reformer who want a more challenging strength focus. Recommended after completing at least eight Flow classes.
What happens: Heavier spring loads, longer holds, and more complex coordination exercises. Targets posterior chain, core stability, hip mechanics, and shoulder girdle. Stretching and cool-down in the final 10 minutes.
Intensity: Moderate to high. Expect muscle fatigue.
Who it's for: Anyone seeking a gentler, slower-paced session. Open after your first Groundwork class. Suitable for those returning to exercise or wanting a recovery-focused class.
What happens: Light to medium spring resistance, longer holds, emphasis on mobility, breath, and decompression. Each class focuses on a theme: hip mobility, upper-back mobility, or full-body stretch.
Intensity: Low. Accessible and restorative.
Unwind is not a medical or rehabilitation class. Clients with specific injuries should consult their healthcare provider before booking and are welcome to contact the studio by phone or the contact form on our website before booking.
Who it's for: Experienced clients with limited time. At least one Groundwork class required (three recommended before joining).
What happens: A condensed full-body sequence — footwork, core, arm and leg series — without the extended warm-up or cool-down of a 55-minute class.
Intensity: Moderate. Efficient, not rushed.
